(5,707 posts)68. Our leadership is a mirror. They may not be reflecting me,
or anyone here, but they reflect enough of the country to make their existence possible. Without social prejudices, the message could not resonate no matter how much media manipulation there was.
Effective propaganda taps into those prejudices, uses them, and yes manipulates - but must have the raw material to work with.
This is not a case of evil leaders and hoards of victims, no matter how much you wish to separate the two.
