Thank you for that! I stand with you, rpannier, because Trump's voters are idiots. If they're scratching their heads now, tough shit.

One minor quibble: While I loved your Bond reference, Putin isn't really a Blofeld. Although he was evil, Blofeld was outside of government. Putin is merely the latest in the long line of evil Russian dictators who use their country's riches for themselves.

I've often thought Osama bin Laden was more analogous to Blofeld: an evil rich man with his own army advancing his views through international violence. Of course, Blofeld was in it for the money while bin Laden saw the money as a tool.
