That said... just based on the language of the tweets, this doesn't actually point to action. "I'm sure we're going to jail" can mean "I've done slimy things and I'm afraid I might get caught." Particularly if it's, say, Kushner -- who's not really known for his expertise about, well... anything. Just an idiot with a guilty conscience (guilty as in "I know I did it," not "I regret doing it."
And Schindler's tweet... well, 200 countries could turn over tapes of 45 actually talking about bribery; it still would require the GOP to do something about him. And they won't. Period.
My feeling is that when they've decided he's an anchor on their reelection chances, they'll start turning more and more to a medical excuse. (And the fact that he's suddenly spent a boatload of cash on attack ads against Republican senators who are opposing the wealthcare bill just might be the anchor we need!)
That said... I'll take the hope and run with it!
