be able to confirm it. It had to do with a Naval ship who was assigned an expert Koosher. This Koosher expert came on board carrying heavy suitcases and he was assigned quarters. But as the ship sailed out to sea, it became obvious to everyone that no one knew what he actually did, even though he seemed highly qualified on paper, as a Master Koosher.

Finally, the Captain, not wanting to show his ignorance, told the Koosher that, on the following morning, he was to demonstrate his skill to the crew, since he was the only Koosher aboard.

So, the next day, with the entire crew on deck and the officers wearing their uniforms, the Koosher went to work. He lugged his heavy suitcase to the deck of the ship. He pulled out materials to build what looked like a firepit, where he threw on a metal piling. When the metal piling was red hot, he took heavy tongs out of he suitcase and grabbed the hot pipe, and walked it to the edge of the ship. Winking at the Captain, he threw the pipe over the side of the ship. When the pipe hit the water, everyone heard it. A very loud and discernible, KOOOOOOOOSSSSSSHHHHHHHHH!

Sounds like an O'Henry story.
