when Democrats do hit back and defend their issues, it often does not get coverage - going back to the late 1980s, Republicans have dominated the influential weekend "Talking Head" political issue shows: Republican guests outnumber Democratic ones no matter who controls the presidency or Congress, even if Democrats control both. And, Republicans are far more likely to be an "only" guest on these shows with no opposing viewpoint.
