Democrats = Socialists = Communists

They really don't know the difference or think the differences are subtle and not dramatic (which they are). I could go on, but wont.

I've gone into great detail with GOP family on the differences and flat out told them, I'm a Socialist and Democrats are a bit too conservative for me. It blows their mind when I "facilitate" to them the differences. Some even come around to the idea that Socialism may be a good idea, others still have qualms, but at least decide not to reject Democratic ideas so quickly. But there is always one relative who is dumb as a box of rocks, she still thinks the equation above is correct.

Doesn't matter, I've decided to blow her off and ignore her. Her and her husband have been pretty good at engineering their own problems. Had to fight her over an inheritance issue (long story short, she wanted more...and she is getting more, legally, but it still wasn't enough for her, she wanted 50% instead of 37%...were only getting 25%). Couldn't figure out though, why she was fighting for every penny, wasn't like it was a whole lot of money, just dismissed it as her being a typical greedy brat.

Then I found out later, she's broke. And once this relative passes, that's the only inheritance she'll get to fund her....as one person I know puts it, "champagne tastes on a beer budget". Apparently her and her husband managed to get themselves removed from the good graces of her very wealthy in-laws. Have to laugh, because they are also Republican.
