16. Kathleen Vinehout COULD actually win.

She wanted to run four years ago but the stupid State party shot her down. She's from a small town, has been a farm woman, understands the state outside of Milwaukee and Madison, and is a damned fine person.

She would be my choice. Please, as much as I love him, NOT Madison mayor Paul Soglin. I am firmly convinced nobody from Milwaukee or Madison can win on the D side. The former would (has been) accused of coming from/running the "shithole" that is Milwaukee, and the latter would/has been accused of being from a liberal oasis. For the record I grew up in Milwaukee and went to school for 9 years in Madison, and love both places dearly. But now that I live in the western hinterlands of the state, I can see how differently people see things.

Vinehout would be great. I hope she's the nominee.

On edit: The repugs are calling her a tax-and-spend Madison liberal? SHE. IS. NOT. FROM MADISON!!!
