In reply to the discussion: Massachusetts Response to Voter Information Request [View all]amrita73
(18 posts)49. Virginia is safe for now, votes for a new governor in November this year
"On Thursday, Virginia's governor and the secretaries of state in California and Kentucky, all Democrats, said they will not share the requested information.
The California and Virginia officials said attention would be better spent upgrading aging voting systems or focusing on Russia's alleged election meddling. Mr. Trump has alleged "serious voter fraud" in both states."
"States began reacting to the letter on Thursday afternoon. "I have no intention of honoring this request," said Governor Terry McAuliffe of Virginia in a statement. 'Virginia conducts fair, honest, and democratic elections, and there is no evidence of significant voter fraud in Virginia.'"

This is unheard-of unconstitutional....beyond the pale.

I wonder if people in "red" states would have standing to sue SOS that hand over the information.

It's a shame that "Eat it, fuzznuts" wouldn't be considered a proper response. nt
