Trump KNOWS his "base," the 35% who are hanging on while his approval rating sinks. He KNOWS how they will respond to it.
There are more than a few responses along the lines of "That's what you can expect when you don't tell the truth."
I don't see anything cracking the 35% shell, except maybe losing their health care. That might wake a few of them up, but as we all know, when the body count starts adding up, Trump will simply blame Obama, and many of them will probably swallow that.
