40. Nancy has figured out how to make money on vengeance. Vengeance is not justice.

Vengeance is a sickness but it is popular and often get glamorized in movies and tv. Death Wish and Dirty Harry for a couple of examples. We even see it right here in DU city. When someone brutally reacts to some grievous crime, it isnt acceptable. It is a reaction that many of us might also have under the same circumstances, but that doesnt make it right. It's taking the law into your own hands, it's vengeance. I dont blame those people because as I said, we ourselves might react the same way, but I am saddened by those that applaud such actions.
In the old west, if you accused some poor slob of stealing your horse, more than likely the town bullies would get together and lynch the poor bastard, guilty or not.
To some, like Nancy Grace, vengeance is more important than justice.
