The Democrats are fighting back and the Democrats are making progress. It is a hard fight. In Texas the court found that the Texas voter id law as adopted with the intent to discriminate and the parties are briefing what the appropriate remedy should be. On July 10, a trial starts in San Antonio in the Texas redistricting case that could give the Democrats 3 to 7 more US Congressional seats and 10 or more state house seats.

The Democrats are also fighting redistricting on a nation wide basis https://democraticredistricting.com/ Attorney General Holder and President Obama are both personally working on this program

I helped train 200+ poll watcher in Harris County which helped negate the efforts to limit the effects of the ruling in the Texas voter id case. The court in that case issued a ruling allowing voters to vote using a Reasonable Impediment Declaration but the local election administrator attempted to gut this ruling with greeters who told voters that they needed photo id. The poll watchers reported back on this tactic and we got this practice stopped. Now, a lady who I trained as a poll watcher in 2012 is now in charge of voter registration. A person with Battleground Texas who I worked with is now working in the voter registrar office.

Things can change. It takes hard work

Texas will turn blue.
