Staying with family in Altona section....thought this area was safe during the summit....its dark smoke and sirens everywhere and from going down on the streets in neighborhood all hell has broken loose. There are atleast 30-40 cars on fire here in area....the Rathaus and Standesamt (where people marry) have windows broken in and all activities called off. Its chaos and there are police in riot gear all over.

Meanwhile my cousin who works near the Convention Center is trapped in her workplace and can't get out of that section of town that is ground zero of the Summit....another friend with other parents trying to get their kids from school...

Its crazy....
