But with no actual 'disrespect' to the LGBT community intended whatsoever.
Ever think of that possibility?
Or is it more satisfying to get all knicker-twisted, insisting that 'the most offensive possible meaning I can come up' (i.e. "the artist is implying there's something wrong with homosexuality!"
... must be a true and correct interpretation?
The cock-holster remark is similar insofar as it's NOT inherently anti-gay in any way, what it is ... is a bash of his subservience to Putin.
Ask yourself, if someone was to comment on KellyAnne going out on a Sunday AM talk-show Fawning Tour for Trump, and someone said 'Boy she sure got out her knee-pads today!' ... would you think to yourself 'Shut up you HETERO-BASHER!'
Of course you wouldn't. You might take SOME kind of offense (cause EVERYTHING is offensive to SOMEone) but it wouldn't be sexual-orientation-related, would it?
If one's own true attitude is 'there's nothing wrong w/gayness', then I don't even see how they come to the conclusion 'these images/sayings denigrate gayness'. I might ask them to consider what is that they are bringing to table that's causing them to interpret these things ... the way that they are choosing to. Cause ... I don't see 'em that way at all.
JMHO, fwiw.
