Why I think the "Russian lawyer" is lying? [View all]

She flew out of Moscow a few days after the email conversation with Don Jr's friend in Moscow. She was representing the government of Russia. Does anyone think she would fly to America to meet with Don Jr for some trivial issue? There were expectations from both sides, in my opinion. Both sides were expecting something from the meeting.

What could have been the "quid pro quos" that were exchanged? What did the Russians get in exchange for the Wikileaks emails? The RNC met in Cleveland in July and changed their platform to take out any language about retribution against Russia for the Ukraine policy? Also, the Russians were very interested in getting all the sanctions lifted against them. In my opinion, this was the information that the Russian lawyer was carrying to Donald Trump, thru his son and his surrogates.

Representatives of the Russian government have been known to lie in the face of over-whelming evidence. The Russian lawyer was not beyond those practices.

Until we know more, we have to assume that the Wikileak emails were the damaging information that the Russians were holding.
