Even Shrub got some polite and even moderate applause when he spoke the one time at a NAACP Convention in 2006... But Shrub never purposely set out to insult the audience for cheap thrills to stoke the GOP's lunatic base nor did he experience booing like that - even after thousands of black men, women, and children drowned during his cavalier "Heckuva job Brownie" moments after Katrina the year before.
