40. KGB split into FSB and SVR. SVR is what most people think about when they think of KGB

SVR is the foreign operations portion. FSB is domestic counter intelligence.

SVR and FSB are civilian agencies.

GRU is the military intelligence directorate. It is bigger than either SVR or FSB and probably has far greater capabilities.
