9. There's something else we have to do in conjunction with those steps described in the article.

We must have a special fundraising-and-operations arm the targets toss-up areas and pays to get every Democratic voter legal I.D.'s.. We need to pay for birth certificates and a state issued I.D.'s for every Democratic voter in plenty of time for the upcoming elections. We need to provide teams of volunteers - including notaries - to research and process requests for citizenship credentials and legal state I.D.'s for anyone who lacks resources to do it themselves. (I know we can't just go out and get birth certificates and buy I.D.'s for people. I mean we assist those who need these things by engaging them and guiding them through the process and by providing them with the fee's and footwork necessary to get them legal I.D's. that comply with Republican bullshit.)

If our other efforts run slowly, and if the courts uphold all or parts of the Republicans' deplorable (yes, I said deplorable!) plan to require citizenship-affirming I.D. to register and to vote, then we have to beat them while working within their perverse rules.

If we put a lot of effort into this and in getting out the vote in general, then we can get legislative and executive majorities in enough places to start dismantling the voter suppression laws that have been forced upon us.

It's a tall order. But it's a must-do.
