long as I can remember. I have a fantastic 11 year old son who is intelligent and kind, but cries rather easily. It's just that he's gentle, (and we don't want that to change), but there are lots of kids out there, that he will interact with, who would buy and sell him. In a couple of situations I have found myself asking him to "man up a little", not harshly or anything, but I explained what I mean. It's a handy shortcut, in getting across that it's not the end of the world if he has to eat a small bit of veg (!), or it's his responsibility to make sure he packs his Nintendo DS charger and then forgets.
