11. What about when you are too sick to work?

I had to leave a low pay teaching position after 15 years due to illness. I was sick about 1/4 of the time teaching due to the environment too. I couldn't collect retirement and now have a fatal, extremely painful disease diagnosed last year. Now 1/4 of my disability income goes toward the ACA not including out of pocket cosys. I had to pay $30,000 for 2 years of insur before the ACA. Now I will lose my 550 sq foot apt to pay for the needed surgeries until I eventually die. I worked 50-60 hour weeks teaching kids and rarely had time to use the bathroom let alone eat lunch while dealing with BS from parents and bureaucracy/ administration. I was anything but lazy!
