(58,785 posts)The left's burden to bear, in this nation or any other, is that more radical-leaning to extremist leftists are naturally so strongly focused on defeating the moderate left that they have little attention left for the right. To the far left, our planet's problems are always ultimately the fault of liberals who always fail to be what humanity needs them to be but won't get out of the way of Those Who See.
Given that reality, isn't it darn right unreasonable of you to expect them to just "move on" after once again losing to the more moderate, Democratic Party left--at a time when existential crisis threatens us all?
I imagine bitterness, though not hostility, will be largely replaced with hope once again as their chance to save the world comes around again with the 2018 and 2020 elections. Just wonder who they will pin their passions on then. And who will be offering that candidate. By definition, it will not be a mainstream Democratic liberal.
