The canary in the mine?? [View all]

Youngest Son is a long-distance truck driver. His first time out no one would respond to the newbie. Wanting to stir things up, he announced that he'd voted for Obama and was going to vote for Hilary. Pandemonium. From then on all he heard was pro Trump this and pro Trump that. Trump could do no wrong. Trump was sacrosanct. Until today. This morning Youngest Son called to say he was stuck in a traffic slow-down on I-75 south of Macon, with lots of back-and-forth among the drivers. Trump was no longer sacrosanct. He was the butt of their jokes. Youngest Son said it was a huge about-face, that these drivers have been all Trump, that maybe, just maybe, the tide is turning. (If I may mix my metaphors.) Let us hope. Let us fervently hope.
