4. I'm having a difficult time rationalizing the outrage you think I should feel

While I think the run around treatment he got was unfair, I can understand their apprehension at appointing him precinct chair. It seems to me the real injustice was stringing him along and then never admitting their real motive behind appointing someone else. I hate to say it, but I think towing the party line is necessary (especially in a red Texas district).
