What is the role of the Supreme Court in this "constitutional crisis"?

None at this point.

Where are all those "great" conservative minds as our Constitution and our institutions are being threatened and attacked?

Watching, just like the rest of us.

Do they have the right to comment on situations such as we are now experiencing? Or are they now in the pocket of Donald Trump and the Republicans and are nothing more than toothless tigers?

They have the right to comment, RBG did recently, but if they do, they give the appearance of having already make up their mind before hearing the evidence and should rightfully recuse themselves, thus a loss to the side thy might have sided with.

Do they have to wait until our country is laid to waste before they can make a decision?

Yes, they have to wait until a case comes before them before they can make a decision on it. If no case comes before them, there's nothing for them to decide

Who is leading this Judicial Branch? The Chief Justice is the leader of the Supreme Court
