This story is from 3010. It only got worse from there:

In 2007-2008, the Republican minority in the Senate set a record with 112 filibusters. In 2009 and in the first two months of 2010, the GOP added 40 more. The most filibusters ever by a Democratic majority was 58 in 1999-2000."
