that Trump apparently believes threatening and bullying people makes them do what you want them to do, even people over whom you have no power, like the Chinese. This is a form of passive aggression, I think, useful to Trump because he's too chickenshit to confront--or fire--anyone to his or her face (because then they might not *like* him).

It does not seem to occur to him to have meetings and actually talk about problems with the people involved. Twitter is his armor against the mean old world that just wants to pick on him.

We are suffering from one fucked-up childhood.
