My razor blades cost about 12 cents each. I buy 100 packs for $12 on Amazon prime. The razor cost about $30 but it will outlast me if I take care of it.
Your local hippie food store has great shaving creams that are cheaper, better, and last longer than canned garbage they sell at the drugstore. I also get great artisan shave soaps from my local farmers market
Synthetic shave brushes are actually cheaper than badger and boar if you don't want to face animal oppression every morning.

Or if you are open to stropping and honing and never buy another blade ever again, try a straight razor
