If you choose to think that our history has nothing to teach that is on you. Ridiculing a Long reference in the age of trump seem rather obtuse to me. History teaches us that a populist movement on the left can be as concerning as one on the right.

Even if that danger is just to divide the left vote in the nation rather than achieving actual power.
