106. I think it was about 5 years or so ago...

...that I began "lurking" on DU. I found it by accident having clicked on a link to The Top 10 Conservative Idiots from another blog. That got me hooked (I still miss it). Whenever I could, I would thoroughly go through all the great stories on the home page and get news and perspective I wasn't finding in other places. Add the various forums full of intelligent, passionate, and humorous individuals of all stripes, and soon I found myself coming to DU more often than any other site, news or otherwise. A few months ago I finally decided to join up and be a part of this engaging community. I have a pretty full schedule most days but try to participate when I can. I've come to recognize many, many names and the various styles, stories, and opinions that go with them. I'm happy to now be part of all of this. I hope to get to know you all a little better in posts to come.
