9. Oh, I certainly remember how I felt when that inexplicably happened

Here on DU, GD and GDP became two new forums, one for those who were angry and needed to vent and those who were upset and demoralized and needed support and sympathy. I mostly posted in the latter.

The thing about Trump is that it's tough to escape hearing about his outrageous and dangerous behavior. Just today I had to discuss how awful he is with my dentist. But I agree that we just can't sit back and expect people to be freaked out enough to do the right thing. We need to keep people informed and GOTV more than ever. I'm sure hoping we won't have to endure this perpetual nightmare until 2020, but we need to start now working to ensure a Democratic majority in 2018 - and start cleaning up the mess long before 2020 - because it's going to take a lot longer than that to get back to a government we can have confidence in...
