I have resigned myself to rebuking all of the stories my friends family and workmates post on facebook which are false.
So when someone posts that they are sick of not being able to have the "Pledge of Allegiance" said in public schools because of all the unpatriotic liberals, I set the record straight that the pledge of allegiance has a reference to God and therefore subverts the Constitution which they pretend to support. I have seen that when lies are repeated enough, people start to believe them as the truth, even some relatively intelligent people who have never bothered to think them through.
I don't think I can convert any of the dumb and dumber righties, but I can educate the younger people who have yet to have all of the lies sink in yet.
