(6,083 posts)We have cameras, we have social media. Things can get spread around the globe in a heartbeat. So his image gets captured at this "rally" showing his snarling, hate filled mug and he is having second thoughts?? Before he jumped in his Pinto and headed cross country for Charlottesville, what did he think he was going to do when he got there? Have a picnic with sack races and swimming in the creek? Or was he already anticipating the hate filled rally? Had he already gone to Wal-Mart and found his tiki torch in the clearance aisle? Was his suitcase packed with the required uniform of the Neo Nazis?
This young man is finding out the hard way that there are consequences to our behavior. If you bed down with mangy dogs, you might pick up a few fleas and other maladies. Maybe he thought he was just going to Virginia for a lark, but he damn sure is finding out one mistake, one snap decision can have life long consequences. Let his story be a cautionary tale to others who jump on the bandwagon of a bad idea. tRump voters are you listening??
