Yes they choose the Friday news dump because they are on the defensive. They had to mention Bain. And they know that even the mention of the word is bad for them. So their strategy was actually a good one if you're in a corner. Defend themselves and counter-attack (so that the media has it on the record) but don't do it in public so the public isn't reminded that there is an issue. Then hope that the media finds Katie Holmes divorce more interesting by Monday.
