Water balloons, each containing several drops of patchouli oil, along with the water. Harmless and easily launched unseen from within or from behind a protest group, they work in two ways:

1. The cooling effect of the water is a minor discomfort to those struck by the water balloons. Further, water stains can be unsightly and embarrassing in some cases.

2. No scent is hated more by macho, manly right-wingers and Nazis than patchouili. Long associated with hippies and people from the Indian sub-continent, its intense lingering aroma will stay on the clothing for hours. This will cause embarrassment and self-loathing, not to mention ridicule from those not affected.
