I hadn't read that, and I'd be surprised by it. There are a lot of trolls though, so anything is possible. Being a white male I always try to use a lot of empathy towards other people's issues. I try not to judge anyone until I've at least walked a few miles in their shoes, at least in my imagination.
If this did happen on DU, I believe you have every right to call someone out on it. We're all in this together (at least I HOPE we are!).
