And she also broke new ground by being more than a "hostess," President Carter had her sit in on cabinet meetings because she asked him so many questions about the issues and what was really going on. And in her role for the Carter Center, she has devoted herself to mental health, has brought resources to war torn parts of the world where few were available before. And she's still quite active - including still working to build houses for Habitat for Humanity!
