The problem is that they are dealing with a racist, sexist, and bigot, and they will not be able to change that.

As for Kasich, not unlike Romney's statement a few days ago, they both have their eyes on 2020, and are trying maneuver in that direction. The one's they are trying to convince sure aren't Democrats or progressives. There is no illusion to them who trump really is.
