Americans think and feel. She is given a platform to discuss issues that she has no real background in beyond books, news stories, and what other privileged white people like herself think.

When she was on MSNBC I heard several things she said that demonstrated how out of touch she is with average Americans. She was born on third base and blessed with good looks and a reasonably intelligent brain, but she lacks the depth of real experience to know just how tone-deaf and wrong her comments are!
