It's spinning slowly off the coast, gale warnings went up yesterday, wind gusts and much cooler temps, waves rolling in are nasty and there are warning people hard, not to enter the surf due to rip tides. Spotty wind driven rain from time to time... so far so good.

Far more worried about friends in the Houston area and the lack of clarity on the degree of this disaster from the feds. They need the military to come and set up medical facilities, food for everyone, portable latrines. There are many NGO's that are awesome with dealing with needs, post disaster, few have the resources even to get into Houston, let alone operate during an ongoing disaster.
