45. I'm not sure why non-Californians imagine that theres some groundswell in the party against the guy

Jerry Brown may stay out of the primary endorsement process just as, for instance, Barack Obama stayed out of the 2016 presidential one.

Still, Newsom is the Lt. Governor of the state. He's very logically positioned for the office.

I don't understand the reflexive "anti" stuff. Yes, Newsom has had pants problems in the past. That's about it.

It can't be about cannabis, I mean the mentioned Mayor of Oakland recently appeared with Newsom at a conference for cannabusiness. If people are flailing around for a prohibitionist to win statewide in California, they should go back to the East Coast and commiserate over lowbrow bong jokes with the dwindling ranks of that position. They're not gonna find much traction out here. Not even in Oakland, lol.

It can't be that Newsom is associated with "berniebros"- if anything, he's considered to be from the pro-business wing of the party. He was an EARLY endorser of HRC.

So, really, it's odd. "good teeth and hair" seems to be the most pressing complaint.
