It's not enough that they be doing something- they have to be keeping all these uninvolved people notified of everything up to the minute so they can know what's happening.

It's the same mentality of people demanding to know the inner workings of a police investigation that's only hours old even though they are not even involved at all.

It's all about "me, me, me" demanding they be spoon fed info about things that don't directly affect them by people with far more important things to do than stop and spoon feed them their info.
