69. Does this include a provision for making Medicare reimbursements sustainable for providers?
Wed Aug 30, 2017, 11:51 PM
Aug 2017

The skilled nursing facility my sister works at is reimbursed less than half of their daily cost for Medicare patients. I don't like the commercial insurers anymore than anyone else does, but they're the only reason the facility still exists. If all of their patients were reimbursed by Medicare they would've closed their doors years ago.

"Medicare For All" is a great theory, but is just a bumper sticker slogan until someone comes up with a reimbursement method that won't bankrupt half of providers in the first six months.
