Contractors build cookie cutter houses everywhere. They don't want to build for area because that cost more. If you look at most the kitchens and floor plans, fixtures are the same cheap ones in cheap apartments. If you want to build for area you have to do it yourself (I had to) or pay mega bucks. Most contractors don't have the skill or labor to do differently. Anywhere.
