13. What's the original? Not following the teachings of Jesus? I know of Martin Luther's

re-interpretation 500 years ago that said people can be saved just by believing in Jesus as their savior. I also realize that concept came about 1,500 after the death of Christ. Before that Catholics went to confession regularly and confessed their sins and were given penitence.

I think confession caused Christians pay more attention to their actions. Today how many people call themselves Christians and act like total nasty people? It seems the only thing a lot of these churches teach is to hate gays, not have sex outside of marriage and ban abortions.
