4. Violent crime is still at its lowest rate in decades.

This has been reported repeatedly for the past few years. The perception is crime is high because crime is sensationalized, crime drama and true crime stories remain a major source of entertainment in this country and the internet allows for the sharing of information real-time about regional issues that may not have been shared even a decade ago.

I would think the USAF would recognize this fact not to mention he has access to FBI statistics which were referenced in my title.
