There is no full translation available yet of this appearance on Russian TV by Maria Zakharova today:
Spokeswoman of #Russia's MFA re: Trump's recent closure of RF facilities: "Not all US Presidents were able to complete their term in office"
Stunned host of #Russia's state TV asks whether she is predicting impeachment, she says it's NOT about impeachment.
Zakharova specifies she does not mean impeachment, says to "look at U.S. history"implying assassinations? Just wow.
Perhaps she's implying Trump is going after #Russia only because he's afraid of being taken out by the "deep state."
I'll post the source of these statements below.
There's been lots of speculation in the responses to Davis's tweets. Some people see this as a Russian warning to Trump -- which really shouldn't be necessary, since I doubt Trump is unfamiliar with what's happened to so many of the people Putin viewed as enemies or opponents. Others even suggest that if the Russians decide to get rid of Trump, they'd want to make it look as though his opponents here in America did it.
I don't speak Russian. I'd be curious about what anyone here who's fluent in Russian gets from Zakharova's comments (YouTube link below).
I've been searching for anything else about this, haven't found anything yet. I found Davis's tweets through a retweet by John Schindler.
