7. Still taking steps beyond 3 AM

My garage was converted into a den but the garage door remains. It seems vulnerable. There's a closet just inside the garage door so I've been shifting one heavy object after another into that closet to try to provide some backbone.

Filing cabinets...old televisions...an old Mac tower computer...tall waste baskets loaded to the top with golf balls...bowling balls...boxes of books...an old blower motor in a box. Then I braced it against the back wall with a couple of long heavy poles that I saved for some reason.

Normally the only thing in that closet is a box full of Christmas wrapping paper.
