That is what a lot of people do not realize.

Not only is it the strength of the wind, but it is the hours and hours of non-stop blowing, and THEN,
more, from the opposite direction as the eye passes.
You can go mad from hearing it all day or night or both, depending on speed.
and then, for weeks and months later, any strong breeze can trigger the memory.
Definite PTSD can occur from a bad hurricane.
My cat had anxiety ever time it rained, after a hurricane, poor thing.
