Of course, but the thing that was most telling for me regarding him was the fact that the medals he tossed were not his, but someone else's that had been donated. That said a lot to me about him. The Navy saw him as a bright young man with a future, and he saw himself as such as part of the anti-war movment. Nonetheless, Kerry's service in Vietnam and the antiwar movement were both more patriotic than anything Romney has ever done.

The media will figure out a way to depict Romney's time in his Paris palace as heroic and the President's time as a kid growing up in Indonesia and Hawaii as somehow sinister.
