WE ARE the descendants of the founders of and carriers of the flame of our democratic republic. All men are created equal and entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Government of, by and for the people. Equality and justice for all.
That's us. We are an incredibly wide coalition of the peoples of America, not perfect but in all eras, no matter what party label, always the ones who have worked to advance the right and wellbeing of We the People.
We don't soak up vicious lies like people continually fighting withdrawal from Kool-Aid, we don't manufacture fake hurricanes or believe in them, we don't serve malignant, antigovernment kleptocrats, we don't try to use government as a weapon against other Americans, and we don't elect depraved, mentally disordered buffoons.
It's starting with Hill because we're far from getting over what happened, when people think Democratic Party these days they think of her, and it's way past time to talk about the real person, to let people know who she is, sparkle, dreams, normal real-person warts, and all.
Our top candidate in 2016 was actually not just an extremely hardworking, knowledgeable, competent, liberal, progressive Democrat, but a church woman who prides herself on her ethics (really!) and whose desire to serve took her remarkably far beyond the progressive church activities she participated in as a teenager. How many people know that?!
It's way, way past time to be start talking about our leaders as the real people they are, about all who are no longer visible as real people behind the wall of poisonous mud thrown up by opponents (including US), and about our achievements and goals with pride.
