82. I didn't expect al this..

folks worked up about me saying I'm an "FDR Democrat".. which is more of and idea in the broad sense of how he steered our country in the right direction with progressive policie (of that time, yes), they called him a socialist and in some ways that was an apt descriptions.. he fought the robber barons, the "economic royalist" as he put it of his time.. we now refer to them as corporatists and unfortunatley we have been losing that class war for a long time..

So, even with his warts his legacy lives on, conservatives love to chop down that legacy - they say, he did little to end the Great Deppression, they say his policies extended it.. it's bullshit and I don't expect to see that crap here on DU, but I guess as time passes, people need new monikers to call themselves & if u wish to be called a "Hillary Democrat" then by all means have at it.. I'll stick with FDR/ Johnson/ JFK... for now
